snow white rose

oya rose lace
I finished my rose project and noticed my friend had posted her pattern of roses too.  We had been talking about the m for a while and I got impatient and did my own then she did one.  Even thought these look real similar they are constructed using entirely differnt patterns.   So I think it was good for me to do hers as well as mine.  Both have things that are unique to them.oya rose lace
Here is the scarf I put them on.   I have had this scarf since high school I wore it in my hair then.  This one was crocheted using the thread that my friend recommended as I did finally find my thread box of Turkish threads.  I used a size 20 steel hook.  it was interesting because with this type of thread you do not weave your ends in but you burn them and melt them to secure them if not careful you can burn your lace I will need practice at that as yes I did burn my lace and had to re-crochet a leaf because of that.
