Day 9 advent scarf similar to day 7

So I just finished day 9 and it is so close in appearance to day 7.  They are different but I wonder why the author of the pattern had them so close together.  This places me at almost 40% the way done with this.
I feel like I have done a ton and 40% doesn't seem to relay that feeling.   Probably because I did so much frogging in the beginning if I had not I would probably be done with this scarf.  As if stand 15 more to go.  I wish I knew what the thread was I am using as it was just a random cone of thread I found thrift shopping but the hand of the knitted lace is lovely such a soft drape to it.  I hope it will look just as lovely when blocked and finished.

I do have two small mistakes in this piece where I had an extra stitch twice that I just did a K2T to get rid of it.  I can see them but in time I will forget about them I hope.  Also if you look at the first photo in this post on the right hand side of it you might be able to see hints of the blue that is in this thread.  That blue seems to never show up in photosgraphs at last a photo that sort of shows why this piece has blue beads.
