I made for the play you see I have made this same item 3 times now the other one I do not own my sister-in-law does. I should ask her to take a picture of it for me. I think hers was in blues and hematite and black. Mine as you can see is my favorite colors white, red, and black (and hematite). Too bad I didn't find this in time for the play but I am OK having another hat as well so all is good there. Made this one about 10-12 years ago long before this blog ever happened. This one is meant to be worn under the hair not over like the one for the play. Hard to show that on a mannequin who has painted on hair. I will update later with a picture of one of my girls with it under their hair so you can see.
This one has a peyote stitch headband I wanted the new one to have that too but I ran out of time may still go back and do that to the new one The black band on it was actually supposed to be covered with seed beads but never had the time as I have already stated. This was originally made for a Harem Halloween costume where as my sister-in-laws was a belly dancing one.
