A few years back I made a pillow case for my husband as a gift I saw it the other day and thought I should post that. I had planned on making several of these...
but that never happened. Just the one for him. I did do all the embroidery and the crochet trim. On the crochet trim I used antique coronation cord to give it a little something extra.

I husband only used it for about 1 week then put it away in his dresser drawer. May be a little to frilly for him or it just maybe he doesn't want it wrecked either way I do know he liked it. I have not done much embroidery as of late. I had some projects last year I did for a nice lady that required me to do cross-stitch for hours on end to meet the deadline and it sort of burned me out on it for a while. But after looking at this I am thinking I should pick it up again after I get done working on the costuming for Joseph and the amazing technicolor dream coat that is pretty much all time consuming at the moment.
This is beautiful! It reminds me of how in my future house that my boyfriend (who will then be my husband) will buy for me (I think I'm dreaming lol) will have a guest room with everything made by me: oya pillow edgings, bed covers, embroidered things and all these other things I'm thinking of.. I hope to learn how to embroider like this by then.
