i just read your list of interests! wow. I have never liked yo-yo's before seeing this quilt. they had to big of hole. The one I made a couple years ago I ended up putting a piece of contrasting fabric to show inside. Now I want to try again.
Have you done any shirring rugs? I saw one done in someone's home 35 years ago and I've started one...
I have started a shirret rug but we moved in June and it is in the garage in storage. As we may be moving again in less than 3 months so some projects are staying packed away. If you are doing one make sure everything is cut on the bias or it doesn't work out well.
