1/2 done yo-yo

"You have to get into a state of YO" as one of the Smothers Brothers would say.

Well, this is about half done for the size of the closed table. I would like to make it fit the table when the two leaves are out, but that will come later. At the moment, I hope I can make a few more yo-yos to get it done soon to accommodate a closed table. That way I can work on other projects.

I like the way it looks so far. I think it will be cute on the kids' arts and crafts table; lots of colors for them to look at. It is actually brighter in real life with more contrast; the picture didn't do well. The kids like it so far, too; that is a plus since they will be the ones looking at it the most.

  1. Looks real nice Sunshine, do you have to put a back on it or no. the one I have from the 1930's doesn't have a back.

  2. No you don't have to put a back on it. This one will not have a back. Usually a back is used for strength purposes as in a little childs bed where it will get tugged at alot or where little fingers and toes will go through it. It can be done for decrative purposes to but it is less common traditionally for that reason. It is much more common now days for that reason decrative that is. It usually is lined if it is for used as a pillow and sometimes lined if used as a vest.
