ReplyDeleteI am so glad to see that you roll your thread into a ball! I do all mine that way as it really helps with storage issues and is easier to carry with me places. My friend, who is 87 and still crochets, says I should leave it on the cardboard sleeve.

if you leave them on the cardboard in time it turns the thread brown in spots which is a bad thing if you don't like that patina on your thread and most people don't I always remove it from cardboard but I leave them on plastic. My balls are also all center pull balls so the thread doesn't roll around the room.
