My oldest, and middle daughters and myself are collaborating on this piece. They crocheted most of the pieces. I did the grapes and the cord around the edge. This is part of Amy's last costume and part of my middle daughters master project on Annie Sullivan for school. The opening on the neck was too low so this is how we are solving that.

dale of norway mitts
My oldest daughter is working on her first fair isle project. She is using acrylic and worsted weight yarn. The pattern of course asks for wool and sock weight. Because of these difference she is knitting super tight to stay on gauge. She has made one mitt thus far and it fits her perfectly. I have lots of acrylic yarn that people have given me over the years.
So she knows she can use that for test pieces. Once she gets better of course she can use the correct supplies but she did this with out asking for the correct supplies. She also did not ask for help and attempted it on her own. When she would get stuck i would explain a few things to help her. Which she was grateful for. I am proud of what she has done thus far on this project. This pattern is from the Lilehammer Olympics. Sorry for the long break my computer crashed and taxes of course got in the way back to publishing.
