Another wip for Friday November 24
This is a row-of-the-month type of quilt. Each month you are supposed to make a new row for the quilt. the current row is paper pieced houses, trees, and things in a neighborhood. If you look at the pictures closer you will see a small sheep and a tractor, too. When done, this will fit a double-pillow-top king-size bed.

This is wonderful, Sunshine, I love it! Where did you get such a neat idea?
ReplyDeleteThis is sort of like the block of the month type thing. My quilt guild does this type of quilt a lot. So I decided since I had not done one I should. A lot of the fabric in this are actually from differnt ladies in my quilt guild. They all know I like scrapes for projects so a lot when I went regullary would save all their scraps for me then I would sort out the colors and figure out what to to with them that is why there are so many shades of green and purple in this quilt lots of others peoples scraps.
ReplyDeleteThis is so pretty Wendy!! Is it quilted "as you go" or is that quilted fabric in the background..or just a print that looks like quilting?? I love the idea of the row a month..I have never seen that before. Pretty colors too
ReplyDeleteLove, Aunt Jenny
it is not a quilt as you go that is just the pattern in the fabric. It isn't quilted at all yet has to get much larger to fit the bed first. The fabric has apattern running through it that looks like quilting in photos I noticed that too. Funny in person it doesn't look like that at all the quilting thing that is. When I am finished piecing it I may get this machine quilted by someone else haven't decided yet.
ReplyDeleteIt's greatness! That purple fabric makes it look like it's already quilted.
