This collar can be used as a stand alone just wear over another item or you could knit or crochet a sweater for you to wear and attach it permanently. I like to use collars like this on little children's dresses that I crochet. I use the collar as the entire yoke of the dress. I have not decide how I am going to use mine yet just making it at the moment. I consider this motif clovers but someone else may see them as flowers either way it is fine make it up how ever you like in what ever colors you like. My daughter who is drafting the pattern is also the one who made the cord I am using for this one. I crocheted the rings being used. Love it when a family works together.
