Just playing a little bit the other day. This use to be a size 6x dress that all three of my daughters wore when they were in kindergarten. The hem was destroyed on the dress but I loved the fabric so I kept it all these years.
Considering my oldest daughter wore in in kindergarten and she is now in high school it has been kicked around for a while. We, me and the girls, got this idea to make kanzashi flowers out of it. We hope that we can use these on a formal that the girls can wear during their high school years now I have to find a fabric that will go well with this that we can use these as embellishments on. I plan on sewing snow flack sequins onto the center of each flower and maybe put it on a winter formal. Will see where those thought go in time. I got 9 large flowers and 6 smaller ones. I would have gotten more but i used some of this dress to make the coat for the play Joseph and the amazing techni-color dream coat.
Luv your kanzashi : )
