A RPL project finished / not finished

This is from when I was teaching years and years ago at the West Jordon Stitching Corner. It was set up as a sampler for the class I had a few made so I was prepared for different classes. Also so so I did not have to take the time in class to bast and finish that many threads.
I would have several done in different stages of finished. This way I could teach stitches. At the end of class I use to give the finished sampler away. This is the last one and it was never used and never filled in. Since I was not teaching any more (that store went out of business) I just left it on the pattern for about 10 years. Today I saw it in my project box for RPL decided I would remove it from the pattern as I was never going to finish it. Because it had been basted for so long in this position it kept its shape so I think I will keep it just as is and add it to my Christmas ornaments just like this half done silly but true.  Group on ravelry all about this type of lace.
