Mom's purple froth

IMG_3095
The dress is open on the side in this photo i just wanted a straight on shot of the dress and did not dare close it up for fear of hurting it.
This is the smallest dress I am guessing mom wore it about 7th-9th  grade at the most which seems sort of odd considering the style of the dress.

This piece of tulle came with the dress.  I can only assume mom used as a wrap or a neck scarf of a back wards neck scarf with the tails trailing in back of her.

I have no idea how old mom was when she wore this but she was little as I put it on my 12 year old daughter to be able to zip the waist but it was to big in the chest area by 3 inches.

This dress is missing a hook over the zipper but I don't know where mine are at the moment so it is going to stay that way first person to use it please get that fixed.

It use to have what looks like hand basted straps but they are no longer there.

there is 1 small seam that needs to be repaired.

This dress does have boning through out the entire bodice/corset part of the dress.

There is a large hem of tull at the bottom of the dress and at the top of the bodice.

But the main body of the dress is lace

measurements
chest  33 inches
waist 24 inches from top of corset area to hem 45 inches I have no idea where the neck line would have been so your guess is as good as mine on that.

Sorry I guess I forgot to take a picture of the back before I returned it to dad.
