knitting fingerless gloves

new mitts
Yesterday I was playing with making some fingerless gloves this is a pretty fast work up.

I used red heart eco-ways bamboo-wool blend.  Has a real soft feel to it.

Supplies
1 ball of each color ( cream, peacock and cayenne)
I used 3 circular kneedle
sewing needle

I used the way back machine to find the pattern.  But it is available on ravelry two ways now here is the new way.  It is a pretty simple straight forward pattern I used the size small pattern with the size medium thumb for comfort.  I like things snug on my hands but not on my thumb.  I am supposeed to be a size medium (7 inches for the hand).  Here is my project page on ravelry to know what I did.

I have lots of the red and blue left and a little bit of the white.   I plan on making two more pairs that have very distinct patterns in them then use all the left overs to make a funky pair.

I have started on the second pair already it is 2 shades of brown (rust and cocoa) and bright yellow (gold).

Then the last planned out one will be green (dill) and blue (twilight).

The very last will be scrappy using all the left overs should be fun to see what I get from it all.

  1. What a great job you did on those fingerless gloves! My friend completed hers out of Noro yarn yesterday!
