The Glass tour (Holdman Studios)

I didn't take as many photos as I wanted to because this is a working studio and some projects are hush hush until they are mounted in place in their prospective buildings.  But it was so neat to see stain glass windows that will placed in LDS temples and other buildings too before they get placed there.  So lovely and so many pieces they are amazing works of art all of them.

The studio has classes you can take in
both stain glass construction and glass blowing.  Some day I will get a chance to take those classes it has been on my ta do list now for about 20 years to learn glass blowing.  I already know the basics of stain glass.

IMG_8881 They showed the class how to make blown glass and how to do stain glass cutting and yes a few kids didn't pay attention to the rules and cut their hands.  But you know that is expected with a bunch of 6 grade students.

The studio has more than just glass there they let other artist show off their art as well and  sell it .   As you can see some oil paintings in these photos and wood working too.

They also have their own work on display to sell too of course.  We came home with a blown glass rose that now resides in our ruby glass china cupboard.
