I am so glad to see that you roll your thread into a ball! I do all mine that way as it really helps with storage issues and is easier to carry with me places. My friend, who is 87 and still crochets, says I should leave it on the cardboard sleeve. I really like reading your blog and seeing what you have come up with next. have a Blessed Day, Diane
if you leave them on the cardboard in time it turns the thread brown in spots which is a bad thing if you don't like that patina on your thread and most people don't I always remove it from cardboard but I leave them on plastic. My balls are also all center pull balls so the thread doesn't roll around the room.
Yay! Are you pretty fast at this, or is it just a labor of love/time consumption process no matter how you slice it?
