Yoyo Afghan Continued

all squares up to this point
I am working on my yoyo afghan again after putting it off for a while. I spent the weekend at my sister's house in Nevada. Got a few squares completed and another one started. It needs 40 total squares to cover my king-size bed. So, I still have a ways to go. This is being made out of size 10 and knit cro sheen. Most of the threads are vintage threads; I have purchased a few new greens to give me a little more variety in the green, and the black I bought about 5 years back from a discontinued line of thread. That is how it goes -- a lot of old, a little new, and a nice variety of colors for me.

orange

Shades of orange and peach. See the dime in the second orange block photo, this gives you an idea of the size of the crochet yoyos.

yellow
Shades of yellows and ochers. A few variegated thread and a few with metallic thread.

purple
Lavenders and purples. Every other row is variegated thread.

pinks
Dark, medium and light pink with a few variegated and metallic threads tossed in, too.

pastel aqua purple green
This block is mainly meant to be pastels. It is Aqua, pale greens, light lavenders, and two variegated threads thrown in for fun.

new block started
The first green block is started; every other row will be a real pale green with a few other greens tossed in and a few variegated, too.

  1. WOW...that is seriously impressive. How long does it take you to make the yoyos for one block?

I was surprised that you aren't stitching together little dime size circles.

  5. How do you construct the square? Id each circle individually made, then all joined, or do you have a method to continuously make them, joining as you go?

  6. I join as I go each row only has one thread to finish it is continuous.
