Where do you want to go

to make you happy

I am still doing demolition, now on the stage of painting, and working at the flower shop. Not much crafting other than trying to get three little Easter dresses made. The one dress that is complete has a 21-yard hemline, yikes! Well that's what I get for making a dress without a pattern and just having fun. A nice, twirling dress for the oldest. Two more to go with the same pattern (or lack of pattern), just making them out of my head. I purchased a Mossimo shirt for going under all the dresses. Not all three are going to be identical; my middle daughter wants me to add some crochet lace she has made. They all have an underskirt, so when they spin they are still covered. The underskirt is white with eyelet trim; they also all want pantaloons which should be easy enough to make using this tutorial as the concept for the construction. The dress actually hangs straight, but my daughter has it hanging on the hanger all wonky. The fabric was found at DI for $3.00 a bolt( got two bolts). DI is a local thrift store. Two bolts with over 17 yards of sheer mint green fabric on each bolt, the liner was given to me and the eyelet trim was also found at DI, so all totaled the three dresses will cost about $10 for all, not counting the price of the shirts because they can be worn with other stuff. Even if I do count them, it is still under $35.00 for all three dresses.

  1. Wish I was nearby to lend a hand - I don't mind hemming at all. The dress is very pretty and how nice that your daughter made some lace for hers!
