We have been getting lots of bulb flowers at work, and they are just so pretty.
I am still busy packing and doing demolition work. We are about two weeks behind schedule; not a good thing. Hopefully, soon I can get back to normal crafting, not industrial crafting.

Silhouettes
I like to cut silhouettes, but I am not as fast as I would like to be at them; it takes me a little bit of time. But this lady is fast -- 30 seconds for a sitting. WOW! Watch the video and see, yes she works for Disney. I cut the one to the right a long time ago. You can make these yourself, but if you don't live near Disney and don't want to cut them, I sell these items in my etsy store. Each is one of a kind image of your family members and sure to be an heirloom (each is a set of two mirror images).

new book has to wait
So I am still doing demolition work after work and as time permits, which isn't much. It makes me ill as all get out; I have asthma and bronchitis at the moment, and all the dust of sanding is just killing me. I have been waiting for this book to come; it came Friday. However, it will have to wait because we are a week behind on our project of demo and then painting and putting in new floors and doors and the list goes on and on......
Some flowers
For the cooler: you can tell Easter and spring are here by the color schemes of the flowers.
This is for a man's wife, just one of her birthday presents; wow nice if this is just one of them. It wasn't done yet in this photo, I still had to place one more lily to get rid of that hole on the top left. $150 arrangement.

For a prom; cool story with this one. One of the chaperons asked a girl to be his date to help chaperon, too. Well, she grew up in Australia and went to an all-girl school, so she never went to a prom before. So this man is making this her prom with limo and flowers and all pretty cool (weird to go to a prom at 25, though). I think it would have looked better without the bow, but that is what he wanted; I like just the wire wrap.

Make a Shamrock from yoyo hearts
A while back I posted about making shamrocks from penny's hearts. You can either use her heart pattern or make real sweet little ones with the yoyo heart templates made by clover; either way you still have plenty of time to make some before St. Patrick's day.
Repairing floral work
So on Friday we had some customers come into work who had a funeral in Sacramento, California, about 1 week ago. They had brought the funeral easels from California to Utah to do the second service at the graveside. The arrangements looked a little bad, but pretty good for a week without being watered. So they asked if I could repair them and put them back on the easels for the service that night. I really liked the two arrangements, so I thought I would take pictures of them to show you.
The woman who had died had breast cancer; I thought this first piece was a neat tribute to her battle with cancer. I have not seen a form like this before. My co-workers and I talked about it a lot; we want to get some of these in for our customers. In this photo I had not finished fixing it yet. There was still greenery that needed to be attached to the top of the piece.
This next one they had me fix was just a beautiful wreath. This is over a $400 funeral piece in Utah; in California it would be more. All of us said when we die we want a wreath like this, but then we all said, "Hey wait! We want it while we are alive!" We liked it so much. The roses and hydrangea had died, so that is what I was repairing and, of course, putting it back on an easel. That is what I did with the first, re-attached it to the easel. Also, we liked the form on this one. The ones we get from our wholesalers are mache like the breast cancer one, but this one was plastic backed which made it stronger, and we liked that feature. You know, little details like this make floral arranging so much easier.

Demo
So what have I been up to? I thought I would post more craft things. But then this project came up. Bet you could never guess what it was: demo as in demolition. Yep, I have been gutting a house for over a week now. I would show pictures, but the state in which our last tenant left the house has even me embarrassed. Well, hopefully, all that will change soon as we are putting in bamboo floors, and painting all the walls, and the list goes on and on. So I may or may not be crafty in the near future; I will defiantly be a a woman with a pry bar, though.

found a new blog
Well, it is new to me anyway. In case you want to find this new-to-me blog, it has a lot of tutorials on things I like, and she has a neat spin on things. Check her out and tell me what you think.
