I have never been fond of this day 'till having kids. They think the day is great, and it is rubbing off on me. Doing things with them and making things with them shows our love for each other. It doesn't have to be store bought; just fun making a mess together as we make cookies. Have a lovely day and remember it is about love not gifts.

ReplyDeleteI always make heart shaped pancakes, with raspberry sauce, for my boys on Valentine's morning. I serve them with juice squeezed from blood oranges instead of the usual ones - so it is red!! My guys really get a kick out of it. A big bouquet of red tulips on the table, too. I also give them chocolates after they get home from school, & we make heart shaped cookies. (But Sunshine, they don't look as fancy as your beautiful cookies! Wow!) My favorite part of the day, however, is when my dear little ones give me the Valentines they have made for me........more precious then anything in the world! I just love them, & have saved every single one over the years.
