Part 1 Valentine swap (embroidered heart)

In the embroidery group I belong to on the internet, they are having a swap for Valentine's Day. You can make either 1 or 2 hearts, and you get back as many as you make. I started one yesterday; the first one is about half the way done. It took about 14 hours to get to this point. Mine is in Russian needle punch embroidery. Sign ups for the swap are open 'till January 19, if you want to join in the fun. Just an FYI this is 6 inches across at it's widest point. These hearts can be used in Crazy quilts or any thing else the receiver can think of.

  4. I have 6 differnt ones. 3 from russia two I bought at Robert's craft
and one I bought at a fabric store sorry I didn't keep paper work for
names when I get a chance I will collect them and take a photo if my
children haven't lost some of them. I also have one that was given me
that was purchased at a thrift store. Battery opperated I don't use
that it leaks oil all over the work and makes awful stitches more a
    novelty than a tool.

  7. Sunshine, I just took a look and your heart and just said 'WOW'. I had not expected something to bright and viberant. The colours are beautiful and the design is very unusual. It is lovely.

  8. yeah I tend to like a lot of color not every one does. That is part of the reason I asked people to looka t it. IF a lot of people said yuck I would just keep that one and make a differnt one for the swap. But a few people said tey liked it so I guess it stays in the swap.

  9. Wow! That is sooooo neat! My father would love that! LOL Did you see the bright towel set I made for him?

    ReplyDelete
  10. Yep!!! I remember those towels and I remember the picture of the bathroom they are going in too. Yeah it probably would work for that room. I like bright colors but in small qualtities this is only 6 inches across not to big. I am not sure I could have a whole room this bright. I might feel like I was in the sixties and I wasn't even born then talk about a weird flashback ;0). Haha and I don't even do those type of things so that would be extra weird.
