WIP Not in the Spirit of the season.

But a spirit all the same, maybe I should say ghost instead. This is a Halloween quilt for my king size bed; this thing is HUGH. The main blocks are composed of squares and triangles. The blocks are from a guild swap a few years back. We exchanged ghosts and pumpkins. We had other patterns, latter, to add. I just never made those; I wanted just the pumpkins and ghosts. The hard part was trying to figure out how to make 16 blocks fit a king size bed. That is why they are on point and have a filler block in between them. I think I want the filler blocks to have cob webs and things like that in them so they are not so boring. As you can see, I have finally made them into a top. Now, if I can get it quilted, I can use it next year. Because of its size, I will probably have it machine quilted as it would take a very long time by myself. The ghosts will have black button eyes once it is all completed.
The blocks were supposed to be the same size. Since they were made by different people they are not so as you can see I had to make them fit the setting blocks by sewing off their corners. I am not sure what I think about that. As I would never do that normally. But since this is scrappy and scary maybe it fits. Hmmmmm it is what it is I guess.

  1. Sunshine, what a lot of nice things on your blog today, and all fun to look at. Bet you are glad the meetings are over, they made for a long day.
