She won two awards

If you remember, a little while back my middle daughter learned Russian Needle punch.

She entered it and two other of her works into an art contest. Today we found out that it and her chalk drawing won awards and will go on to the next level. I think it is a pretty good piece considering it is her first attempt and she is only in first grade.

  3. I forgot to say what the other was a pencil and ink drawing that came home today. She is so excited last year she got second to her older sister. This year she won in two catagories.

  4. It is pretty easy you just buy the needles at roberts craft or Michaels and then you stretch your fabric on the hoop load needle directions on package. Have image on fabric before stretching what ever you want to do. Just remember you are working from the back of the work so all letters have to be written backwards. then start punching. it is an up and down motion keeping the tip of the needle on the fabric not pulling away from fabric or you will pull out your stitchs change colors as needed. real simple that is why we picked it as her art project simple with neat results.

  5. Hi, Sweetie Girl! That's great that you got TWO ribbons from Reglections. It's always great to try new things and do your best, then if someone else thinks it good, you have a bonus!

    Love you,
    Grandma
