How to have a birthday party for Vavo when she isn't around. First you get three happy little girls and a mixer and tell them you are going to make something.
Then you put the mix (cheating today) and the eggs, oil, water in the mixer and set it to going.
Watch girls closely as it spins, they tend to get closer and closer. Since the machine is moving pretty fast that could end in a bad way. As you can see it is chocolate. Yummy! The girls think at this point that we are making frosting. Not sure why, because I never said that.
Once it is done mixing, you get out a baking pan and watch the kids get confused at the two pieces. The littlest thought it was broken. Then here is the next dangerous part; you tell them to fill the baking pan. At this point I expected chocolate cake mix all over the place. No such luck.
Next you pass the beaters to Dad to clean off . YUM!!
Then the boring part of letting it cook. Then it comes out, then the cooling, of course; next you make a glaze, ours was milk, vanilla, and powdered sugar. Even though you say glaze about 7 times, the littlest one still thinks you are making something called blaze and can't figure out what it is. Then you drizzle it over the cake. Hand the kids a bottle of fall sprinkles and let them decorate the top; add a few candles.
Wish your biza avo a Happy Happy Birthday! We love you and miss you; sorry we are so far away and not able to share this day with you. Much love. We will be there for the 95th and the 100th! We are making a date; you have to be around.
P.S. The cake should have read 92! OOOPS!!!!!
