Effie arrives with gifts

A little lady came to visit today, and she brought me some gifts. The little lady is the dolly in the middle, and she came in the mail so I could make her some new clothes then send her back to her mommy, who asked me to give her a kiss. So here is her kiss ; ().
She arrived safely, Nancy. Iit will take me a little to figure out what to make for her. Then I make it and send her home to you. Just wanted to post this so you would know she arrived, safe and sound. I love the thread -- such wonderful colors. I have not had a chance to look at the patterns yet (I wanted to let you know she was here), but they look neat. Thank you.

If you happened to notice the tiny hexagon quilt in this photo, it is one I am making that needs to be quilted still. The pattern is called grandmother's flower garden. The size of the hexagons is 1/4 inch per side; a true minutre.

    She is doing well she has new tap pant underware that came on a package from Aunt george. And half of a slip with that same ribbon on it. These are done in size 10 thread with a 5 hook. The hard part will be the dress in size 30 thread smaller than the thread you sent and a size 11 hook. She has white underware and a mauve slip and will have a darker mauve dress to bring out the rosey cheeks of the doll. She also got a little cleaning after she got here to remove the dirt from her face arms and legs. Just the typical dirt from kids hands playing with a doll. She is much happier with her now more visable rosy cheeks.

    CAN'T HARDLY WAIT TO SEE THE FINISHED EFFIE. AND EVEN A RIBBON TRIM FROM AUNT GEORGE.
    SHE IS ALSO HAPPY FOR THE CLEAN UP, SHE HAS BEEN PLAYED WITH A LOT, BUT WHEN SHE GETS HOME SHE WILL BE TREATED EXTRA SPECIAL. THAT WAS A NICE LOOKING STACK,OF REAPAIR YOU DID, SURE WOULD BE NICE TO KEEP IT.
    BEEN REALLY HOT HERE TODAY, BUT GUESS THAT MEANS SUMMER.
    I WILL KEEP WATCHING YOUR SITE, HAVE TO KEEP TRACK OF MY BABY.
